Taking a deep dive on weathering plastic parts, here we introduce an assortment of aged parts for fans of ’50s ST style.
Generically plastic tends to turn yellow over time, but bakelite can keep its original colour with dirt accumulated around PU brim or parting line in injection molding. By contrast, bakelite is easy to get cracked due to its firm texture.
Each and every piece has manually been aged. A proficient craftsman at the factory ages them one at a time manually with care giving each a unique look. The top corners are intentionally worn out as if they got rounded off in years of playing. The VOLUME/ TONE letters look faded to faint dark brown and help to enhance the authentic look.
