Beschreibung
Accompanied by string trio instead of piano, the composer chose instruments he felt would supply the best accompaniment for the bassoon. The bassoon has basically a soft tone that is enhanced by velvety string sounds. But the piano, being tonallybrilliant, tends to rob the bassoon of its identity.
